Another strong city of trade and wealth, Florence is located south of the Venice and the Po River in more central Italy. Three rivers flow directly through the city, adding to the humidity in the city. The city is quite large and is separated in different quarters dependent on the type of people living in the city. Some of the sections are actually walled off from other parts of the city. One that is completely surrounded by a wall is the center district. In the center the wealthy nobles thrive in grandiose houses. To the south is the southern district. It expands from the center all the way to the southern wall where the middle class and poor combine. Also in the middle district are numerous small ports and market places where many visitors to the city can be found. Finally to the north is the military district. Here the military of the different nobles train and live with their families.
