Rome is the capital and central power in the Kingdom of Italy. Here the Church is most powerful. The city is in the center of Italy, southeast of Florence. The city is built on seven hills, each having their own walls to protect them from outside invaders. In the center of Rome is St. Peter’s Square where the Church’s power resides. There are many famous architectural buildings that still stand throughout Rome. Some of them include the old Coliseum that was once during the Roman Empire. Currently the Coliseum is still open and occasional tournaments between nobles and knights takes place here. The city also contains many glorious gardens, fountains, and aqueducts. The city itself attracts the lowest of the low and the highest of the high. The city is tightly watched by the holy nights. They seem to continue to be growing larger and larger by the day.
